Who we are

This website is operated by Dr. Muthoni Karanja, trading as The Mind Doctor, a private psychiatry and wellness practice based in Nairobi, Kenya. You can contact us at hello@theminddoctor.co.ke.

We only collect information you voluntarily provide:

• Your name and email address when you use the booking enquiry form
• Your self-assessment responses if you complete a Google Form on this site
• Messages you send us via WhatsApp or email

We do not use cookies beyond what is strictly necessary to operate the website. We do not run advertising trackers or sell your data to third parties.

How we use your information

Information you share with us is used only to:

• Respond to your booking enquiry or message
• Schedule and confirm your appointment
• Send session reminders if you have opted in

We do not use your information for marketing purposes without your explicit consent.

Self-assessment tools

The self-assessment tools on this site are hosted via Google Forms. Your responses are submitted to a Google Form linked to Dr. Muthoni's professional Google account. Responses are used only to provide relevant follow-up if you have asked for it. Google Forms is governed by Google's own privacy policy.

Self-assessment tools do not automatically share results with anyone — they are for your private reflection. If you include your contact details, Dr. Muthoni may follow up.

Clinical confidentiality

All clinical information shared in sessions is held in strict confidence in accordance with the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council's professional ethics guidelines. Clinical records are never shared with third parties without your explicit written consent, except in the limited circumstances required by law (e.g., risk of serious harm).

Your rights

You have the right to:

• Ask what information we hold about you
• Request that we correct inaccurate information
• Request deletion of your personal data (subject to any legal obligations to retain records)

Analytics
